The social media automation tools are intended for authorized SOAP employees, representatives, volunteers, contractors, and service providers acting on behalf of SOAP.

When an authorized person connects a social media account, the applicable platform may provide information depending on the permissions approved. This information may include:

• Account username, display name, profile image, or account identifier.
• Authorization tokens used to maintain the approved account connection.
• Account permissions granted to the SOAP application.
• Videos, images, captions, descriptions, and other content selected for publishing.
• Draft, upload, processing, publishing, and error-status information.
• Technical information necessary to operate and troubleshoot the integration.

SOAP uses social media account information only to authenticate an authorized connection, upload and publish approved content, maintain publishing workflows, confirm posting status, troubleshoot errors, protect account security, and comply with platform requirements.

SOAP does not sell social media account information, authorization tokens, or connected account data.

SOAP does not use information received through a social media integration to build advertising profiles about individual users.

You may also contact SOAP to request that we disconnect an authorized social media account.

Revoking authorization will generally prevent future access or automated publishing through the integration. It may not automatically remove content that was already published to the platform.

SOAP retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, maintain organizational records, administer donations and programs, maintain authorized integrations, resolve disputes, protect security, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, and reporting obligations.

Authorization tokens and connected-account information may be retained while the connection remains active. SOAP may delete or deactivate this information after authorization is revoked, the integration is discontinued, or the information is no longer reasonably necessary.

Certain information may remain in backups, transaction records, security logs, or records that SOAP is legally required to maintain.

10. Access, Correction, and Deletion Requests

You may contact SOAP to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you.

To request deletion of information obtained through a TikTok or other social media integration, email info@soapproject.org with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.”

Please include:

• Your name and email address.
• The applicable social media platform.
• The username or account identifier associated with the request.
• A description of the information you want deleted.

SOAP may request reasonable information to verify your identity or authority over the connected account before completing a request.

SOAP will respond within a reasonable period and as required by applicable law. Certain information may be retained when necessary to comply with legal obligations, preserve transaction records, prevent fraud, protect security, or establish and defend legal claims.

SOAP recognizes that information concerning trafficking victims and survivors may be especially sensitive.

Please do not submit identifying information, photographs, personal stories, location information, medical information, or other sensitive details about a victim or survivor unless you have appropriate legal authority and informed permission to do so.

SOAP may restrict access to sensitive information and may remove, redact, or decline to publish information when appropriate to protect privacy and safety.

Our website and online services are not directed to children under 13, and SOAP does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without appropriate parental or legal authorization.
