Survivor Services

Healing happens through connection, support, and hope.

How We Support Survivors

Healing doesn't happen in a single moment—it happens over time and with the right support.

Every survivor's path to healing is unique. Some need practical assistance during a crisis, while others benefit from ongoing education, wellness experiences, or connections with other survivors. The SOAP Project offers programs designed to meet survivors where they are and support long-term recovery.

The SOAP Project offers a variety of programs designed to meet survivors where they are in their journey. Programs have included:

  • Survivor Wellness Weekends

  • Male Survivor Wellness Weekends

  • Educational webinars

  • Monthly support groups

  • Art shows showcasing survivor talent

  • Emergency assistance for unexpected needs

  • Specialized programs such as the Cheri Crider Dental Assistance Program

As funding and volunteer support allow, we continue developing new opportunities that encourage healing, build community, and promote long-term recovery.

Survivor Wellness Weekends

The SOAP Project's Survivor Wellness Weekends provide a safe, supportive environment where adult survivors of human trafficking can connect with others who understand their experiences. Through wellness activities, educational workshops, peer support, and opportunities for personal growth, participants build relationships that encourage healing, restore hope, and support long-term recovery.

Programs have included therapeutic art, self-defense, yoga, life skills training, and discussions focused on trust, healthy relationships, forgiveness, boundaries, and other topics that help survivors continue their healing journey.

The SOAP Project also offers Male Survivor Wellness Weekends, providing a dedicated space where male survivors can build connections, share experiences, and receive support alongside others who understand their unique journey. Both programs are offered as funding allows.

Educational Webinars

Staying connected is an important part of healing. Throughout the year, The SOAP Project hosts virtual educational webinars that help survivors develop practical life skills while building relationships within a supportive community.

Past sessions have included financial literacy, healthy relationships, nutrition, wellness, art therapy, and other topics requested by survivors.

We welcome professionals and volunteers interested in leading future educational sessions.

Emergency Assistance

Life doesn't stop after trafficking ends, and many survivors face unexpected crises without a strong support system.

When funding is available, The SOAP Project may assist with urgent needs such as emergency lodging, transportation, medical expenses, apartment deposits, and other critical situations that help survivors remain safe and continue moving forward.

Specialized Support

Some survivor needs require more focused support.

One example is the Cheri Crider Dental Assistance Program, which helps eligible survivors receive dental care that can improve both their physical health and confidence as they continue their healing journey.
