Our Mission
Preventing Human Trafficking Through Education, Outreach,
and Survivor Support
The SOAP Project exists to educate communities, prevent human trafficking, and support survivors on their journey toward healing and hope.
Through education, outreach, and strategic partnerships, we equip individuals, businesses, schools, churches, and community organizations to recognize the warning signs of human trafficking and respond safely. We also provide restorative services that help survivors rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
Educate
Education is one of the most powerful tools in preventing human trafficking.
Through community presentations, conferences, schools, churches, and professional training, The SOAP Project raises awareness and equips people to recognize the warning signs of trafficking before it happens.
Prevent
Communities are strongest when they partner together.
The SOAP Project partners with communities across the United States to conduct hotel outreaches throughout the year, helping educate hotel staff and raise awareness about human trafficking in local communities.
Working alongside local organizations, trained volunteers distribute bars of soap and makeup remover wipes labeled with the National Human Trafficking Hotline
(888) 373-7888 to participating hotels and motels. Hotel staff also receive educational materials and practical guidance to help identify and safely report suspected human trafficking.
Many outreaches are scheduled around major events—including the Super Bowl, NCAA Final Four, the Indianapolis 500, major conventions, concerts, and community festivals—when awareness and prevention efforts are especially important.
Support
Healing continues long after trafficking ends.
The SOAP Project provides restorative services and connects survivors with resources that foster healing, hope, and long-term recovery.
