Liberator Awards
Honoring individuals and organizations making an extraordinary impact in the fight against human trafficking.
What Are the Liberator Awards?
The Liberator Awards are The SOAP Project's annual awards gala, honoring individuals and organizations whose leadership, advocacy, and service have made a lasting impact in the fight against human trafficking.
Each year, survivors, volunteers, nonprofit leaders, businesses, educators, public servants, and community partners are recognized for advancing prevention, raising awareness, supporting survivors, and inspiring change in their communities.
More than an awards ceremony, the event celebrates progress, strengthens partnerships, and helps advance The SOAP Project's mission to prevent human trafficking through education, outreach, and survivor support.
Why "Liberator"?
The awards are named after William Lloyd Garrison, founder of The Liberator newspaper and one of America's leading abolitionists. His unwavering commitment to ending slavery serves as a reminder that lasting change begins when courageous individuals stand for freedom and justice.
Just as Garrison used his voice to challenge injustice, The SOAP Project recognizes today's advocates who are working to prevent human trafficking, support survivors, educate communities, and inspire meaningful change. The Liberator Awards celebrate those who continue that legacy by standing against human trafficking and advocating for survivors.
